JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for consulting, governance and continuous improvement of SAP Security & Authorisations across the Group SAP system landscape. The role proactively assesses developments and their impact on authorisation concepts and control mechanisms, drives the group-wide SAP authorisation model, and ensures secure and compliant access management.
CONTEXT
The role is part of Group IT and works closely with IT Security, SAP Basis, functional teams, business departments, Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance functions and external partners.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
• Proactively monitor and assess developments within the Group SAP system landscape and their impact on authorisation concepts and control mechanisms.
• Develop and maintain policies, standards and governance documents for SAP Security & Authorisations, including the SAP authorisation concept.
• Design and continuously enhance a group-wide SAP authorisation model.
• Steer and optimise access and authorisation processes across SAP systems.
• Support and coordinate audit, risk and compliance topics regarding user authorisations, Segregation of Duties (SoD) and internal requirements.
• Perform SoD analyses and compliance assessments and coordinate remediation measures.
• Deliver SAP authorisation projects, including redesign and optimisation initiatives.
• Ensure security and authorisation requirements are embedded in SAP projects and transformation initiatives.
• Foster collaboration between IT Security, functional teams, business departments and external partners.
• Prepare assessments and recommendations to facilitate technical and business decision-making.
CHALLENGES
Ensure a consistent SAP authorisation model across a complex and evolving global SAP landscape, balancing business requirements with security, regulatory, audit and compliance expectations and facilitating decisions across technical and business functions.
EXPERTISE AND SKILLS
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a comparable qualification.
• At least five years of professional experience in SAP Security & Authorisations within complex SAP landscapes.
• Strong experience with ECC, S/4HANA, HCM, Fiori, SAP BTP and cloud environments.
• Strong expertise in user management, SAP roles, authorisations and access control mechanisms.
• Proven experience delivering SAP authorisation projects, including redesign and optimisation initiatives.
• Extensive experience with SoD analyses and compliance assessments.
• Very good understanding of regulatory, security-related and audit requirements in SAP environments.
• Experience developing SAP Security & Authorisation policies, standards, governance documentation and authorisation concepts.
• Fluent business English, spoken and written.
