Vorwerk Applicant Portal - Terms of use as at: June 2025

Please note: In this document you will find the terms of use for our applicant portal. Unfortunately, it is not possible to create a personal profile without agreeing to the terms of use.

The privacy policy contained in this document also informs you about the collection and processing of your personal data.

1.    General information

1.1     These Terms of Use ("Terms of Use") apply to the use of the Vorwerk Applicant Portal ("Portal") between interested parties or applicants ("Users") and Vorwerk SE & Co KG, Rauental 38, 42289 Wuppertal, Germany, as well as its affiliated companies with which Vorwerk SE & Co KG ("Vorwerk") jointly operates the Portal.

1.2     Users can call up, save and print out the current Terms of Use on the website at any time.

2.    Registration / Conclusion of the contract

2.1    Users register by creating a personal profile and providing the following required data: First name, surname, e-mail address, country/region of residence, allocation of a password.

3.    Service contents

3.1     The portal offers users who are interested in working at one of Vorwerk's worldwide locations a simple way to monitor the job market at Vorwerk and to apply for job offers quickly and conveniently.

3.2     The portal offers the following standard functions:

Personal profile (even without a specific application):

By creating a profile, users can optimally prepare themselves for future job advertisements. This makes it possible to apply for one or more specific jobs later on with just a few additional details or documents. If the option "Make own profile visible for: Only recruiters who manage jobs I am applying for" is selected - without applying for a specific job at the same time, no Vorwerk recruiters will be given access to the profile. The profile is automatically deleted after six months of inactivity (i.e. from the time of the last login to the portal). Before this period expires, users will be informed by e-mail of the impending deletion .

Job Alert:

The Job Alert option and individual preferences can be selected in the personal profile to receive automated information about vacant positions by e-mail. The option can be deactivated at any time in the profile and the preferences can be customized if required.

Applying for national and international vacancies:

Applications can be conveniently made available in the portal by using the profile in combination with other application information for those recruiters who are responsible for the advertised position.

3.3     Users can make use of the following services by giving separate consent in their profile: Consideration for job offers in Germany and abroad: If users select the consent option "Make own profile visible for: all recruiters at Vorwerk worldwide" in the profile (even without a specific application), recruiters at Vorwerk worldwide can access it. This also applies to countries whose level of data protection may not correspond to that of the EU). Recruiters may include the profile for job vacancies and, if necessary, contact you to initiate an application process.

The portal informs users of the required consent.

4.    Costs

4.1     The use of the portal and its service content is free of charge for registered users.

5.    Obligations

5.1     Users may only create one profile. Necessary information and application documents, such as certificates, etc., must be provided truthfully and completely and kept up to date. Changed data must be corrected. If the necessary data, in particular application documents, are not provided or not provided in full, users may be excluded from the application process.

5.2     Users are obliged to treat their login data (password and e-mail address) confidentially and to ensure that no unauthorized third parties gain access to their profile.

5.3     Users undertake vis-à-vis Vorwerk not to upload any content to the portal that violates applicable law or morality by its content, form or design or in any other way. Users undertake not to violate the rights of third parties (e.g. name, trademark, copyright, image and data protection rights) when uploading content.

5.4    Users must refrain from any activity that is likely to impair the operation of the portal or the underlying technical infrastructure.

5.5     If users provide incomplete or false information or can no longer be reached by e-mail, Vorwerk shall have the right to temporarily or permanently block the profile and access to the portal if the behavior in breach of contract is not remedied or clarified within a reasonable period of time even after being requested to do so by Vorwerk.

6.    Amendments and changes to the Terms of Use

6.1     In the event that this is necessary for valid reasons that were not foreseeable when the contract was concluded and users are not unreasonably disadvantaged as a result (in particular because the ratio of performance to consideration does not shift predominantly to the disadvantage of the users), Vorwerk shall be entitled to amend these Terms of Use in whole or in part with effect for the future. Such valid reasons may be regulatory or legal reasons, security, further development, optimization or supplementation of service content, technical adjustments and ensuring the functionality of the portal.

6.2     Vorwerk shall notify users of any changes to the Terms of Use by e-mail at least eight weeks before the new Terms of Use take effect ("Change Notification"). The amendments shall be deemed approved unless users expressly object to them by the date on which the amendments take effect. Vorwerk shall inform users separately of this legal consequence, the start of the deadline, the deadline and the date on which the amendment comes into effect in the amendment notification. In the event of an objection, the contractual relationship shall be terminated and the profile automatically deleted.

7.     Consent to data processing in accordance with the privacy policy

By accepting the terms of use, users declare their consent to the processing purposes described in the privacy policy, as well as their consent to a possible transfer of their data to a third country without an adequate level of data protection within the meaning of the GDPR.

8.     Liability

8.1.     Vorwerk shall endeavor at all times to ensure that the portal and its services are available without interruption and that transmissions function without errors. However, due to the nature of the Internet, Vorwerk cannot guarantee this. Access to the portal and the personal profile may also occasionally be interrupted or restricted in order to enable repairs, maintenance or the introduction of new functions and service content. Furthermore, Vorwerk accepts no responsibility for the undisturbed operation of the portal if the reasons for any disruptions are beyond Vorwerk's control.

8.2.     Vorwerk shall be liable without limitation insofar as the damage is based on an intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty by Vorwerk, legal representatives or a vicarious agent of Vorwerk.

8.3.    The above limitations of liability shall not apply in the event of culpable injury to life, limb or health, for guarantees assumed, for claims based on the Product Liability Act and in the event of fraudulently concealed defects.

8.4.     Insofar as Vorwerk's liability is excluded, this shall also apply to the personal liability of employees, representatives and vicarious agents.

9.    Term and cancellation

9.1    The term of the contract shall commence upon conclusion of the contract.

9.2.     Both Vorwerk and the user shall have the right to terminate the contract at any time with immediate effect without giving reasons.

9.3.     Users can cancel the contract by selecting the "Delete profile" button in the options of their personal profile and then confirming their selection. Alternatively, users are free to declare their cancellation to Vorwerk in writing or by e-mail.

9.4.     After cancellation of the contract, Vorwerk shall delete the stored personal data of the users or store the data in a non-personal form, unless further processing is required by law or for another purpose. In the event of cancellation, users will no longer have access to their personal profile and uploaded content.

9.5.     If users are inactive, their personal profile will be deleted six months after the last login.

10.    Applicable law and other provisions

10.1     The contract shall be governed by German law to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, unless mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which users have their habitual residence provide otherwise.

10.2     The contract language is German.
